Dedication: Maisel Bukharian Jewish Textile Exhibit

Join us for the dedication of our brand-new exhibit at Adat Shalom Synagogue!  Featuring items from the Rachel Elias Maisel z"l Bukharian Jewish textile collection, given by Dr. Harry Maisel, this display highlights the traditional dress of Bukharian Jews in present-day Uzbekistan.  Speaking Bukharian (Judeo-Tajik) and practicing a distinctive Central Asian-Sephardic culture, Bukhara’s Jewish community included Rachel (Ray) Maisel's family, descended from its chief rabbis.

The exhibit dedication is free to attend (no registration required).  If you wish to stay for dinner, please purchase a ticket through the link below.  The evening's festivities are part of a suite of events honoring Bukharian Jewry.  Click the link for the full schedule.
