As part of the "Americans and the Holocaust" exhibit at the Library of Michigan, join us for a panel discussion on the history of antisemitism in Michigan during the twentieth century. Panelists include JHSM's executive director, Catherine Cangany, PhD; Karla Goldman, PhD; John Jackson, Jr., PhD; Andrew Lapin; and Victoria Saker Woeste, PhD.
"Americans and the Holocaust" will be on display at the Library of Michigan from January 11 to February 22, 2025, including before the panel discussion begins.
Library of Michigan is one of 50 U.S. libraries newly selected to host "Americans and the Holocaust," a traveling exhibition from the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and the American Library Association (ALA) that examines the motives, pressures and fears that shaped Americans’ responses to Nazism, war and genocide in Europe during the 1930s and 1940s. Parking info: There is a flat $5 fee for parking when gate is closed during normal business hours Monday through Friday 10-5 PM. If the gates are open there is no change.
